Theatre Arts
The Department of Theatre Arts at Plateau State University, Bokkos, was established on August 10, 2010, beginning its academic journey with eleven pioneer students and a team of five lecturers. Today, it thrives as a vibrant creative hub powered by thirteen dedicated educators who foster a collaborative, student-centered environment. Here, students take center stage with robust academic and emotional support—from level coordinators and academic advisers to the Exams Officer and Students’ Affairs Unit. Whether through interactive sessions or quiet suggestion boxes, every student’s voice is heard, and every performance—especially exams—is staged with professionalism and purpose.

Admission Requirements
100 Level Entry Requirements for BA. in English
Admission into the Department of Theatre Arts, Plateau State University, Bokkos is through UTME or Direct Entry. UTME candidates must have at least five O’Level credits, including English Language and Literature in English, and meet the university’s UTME and post-UTME requirements. Direct Entry applicants need five O’Level credits (including English), with three at A-Level or a Diploma in Theatre Arts (Distinction, Upper, or Lower Credit), even without a credit in Literature. The programme duration is four years for UTME and typically three years for Direct Entry students.
