Introduction to Architecture
About the Department
Established in 2022 in the Faculty of Environmental Sciences, the Department of Architecture trains designers on a philosophy that balances three key elements — discipline, creativity and innovation. Our eight-semester B.Sc. Architecture programme develops highly competent professionals whose designs sit in harmony with the natural environment while meeting the socio-cultural needs and aspirations of the people they serve. The Department passed the National Universities Commission (NUC) resource verification in April 2023 and admitted its pioneer cohort of 7 students in 2023/2024, growing to 49 students in 2024/2025. Led by ARCON-registered architects and supported by visiting professors, this fast-growing young department is poised for monumental feats — join it at the start of its story.
