Welcome To The Faculty Of Art - PLASU
The Faculty of Arts, Plateau State University Bokkos was established in 2013 when the programmes in the faculty were moved from the then School of Arts and Social Sciences as the university began operating the faculty system. The faculty has three degree awarding programmes in its departments.Faculty has produced a total of two hundred and seventy two (272) graduates.
The faculty staff engage in a range of research activities and community service notable among which is the research on and the recording, transcription and translation of folktales, songs, proverbs and riddles from Plateau State tribes conducted by the Department of English Language, the community theatre outreach of the Department of Theatre Arts, all sponsored withTETFund institute based research (IBR) grants. In addition, individual faculty members conduct research, with some on postdoctoral research outside the country, and a trail of presentation of academic papers at local and international conferences. The vivacity of the staff is reflected in the students, some of whom have won national and international awards.

100 Level Entry Requirements for BA. in English
Here’s what you need to study for a bachelor’s programme at PLASU
A copy of your O’Level result
The result must include a minimum of five credits in the following subjects in not more than two sittings:
- English Language
- Mathematics
- MISSING
- MISSING
- Any other subjects
Please note that submission of Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) results is not mandatory at this stage. However, upon admission to the university, the provided results will be thoroughly verified for authenticity and compliance with the stated criteria, including JAMB Registration.
Entry Requirements - Direct entry
Five SSC credit passes, two of which must be at the advanced level or candidates who hold a National Diploma in a relevant field may be admitted into the 200 Level to study Architecture. Holders of Higher National Diploma (HND) in a relevant field may also be admitted into the 300 – Level if they have Upper Credit or Distinctions.
