In line with the directive of the Plateau State Government for staff of all government agencies, Ministries and Parastatals to submit themselves for mandatory COVID19 tests being conducted by staff of the Ministry of Health, staff of Plateau State University Bokkos today took turns to undergo the test.
The tests which began at 11.00am at the University Health Centre was conducted by a team of health officials led by Mr. Philimon Dagwa.
Before the tests were conducted,staff had to submit their personal details which includes, name,age and medical history through a form before their samples were collected.
Team leader of the health officials Mr. Philimon Dagwa expressed delight with the turnout of staff adding that results from the tests will be out in a weeks time.
Some staff of the University interviewed commended the State Government for the initiative saying that the exercise is important and demonstrates governments concern for the well-being of it's workforce.
Meanwhile, Principal Officers of the University led by the Vice Chancellor, Professor Yohana Izam are expected to avail themselves tomorrow for the tests alongside other staff of the University who could not be tested today.
