ACCOLADES;AS IZAM'S TENURE ENDS.

The outgoing Vice Chancellor of Plateau State University Bokkos, Professor Yohana Daniel Izam has been described as an erudite scholar and great administrator whose legacies of scholarship and infrastructural development will remain major hallmarks and indelible footprints on the sands of time.
These views were expressed in two separate encomium laden valedictory sessions held by the University Senate and Congregation to commemorate the exit of Professor Yohana Daniel Izam as Vice Chancellor of the University.
In their separate remarks , some members of the University Senate which include the Dean School of Postgraduate Studies, Professor Thomas Shut, the Director of Academic Planning, Professor Bulus Gyang and the Director of Advancement,Linkages and International Partnerships,Rev.Fr.Dr.Andrew Danjuma Dewan said the outgoing Vice Chancellor has deployed his knowledge, talents and scholarship in impacting both the intellectual and infrastructural development of the University.
In the same vein, the Dean's of the Faculty of Social Science, Professor Paul Wai and that of Arts,Dr. Chris Gonsum amongst other staff testified to the fact that Professor Izam gave his best in the growth and development of the University as can be attested to in the outburst of projects and the accreditation of all the programmes of the University.
They also commended Professor Izam for operating a leadership of inclusion.
Responding, Professor Izam expressed gratitude to Governor Simon Bako Lalong for giving him the opportunity to contribute his quota in the service of the state and for the cooperation and support he enjoyed from the staff and urged them to extend the same level of cooperation and support to his successor.
Professor Yohana Daniel Izam who is the fourth Vice Chancellor of the University had on assumption of office on March 1st,2023 unfolded his vision for the University under the code name Programme Innovation Project which has been the pivot upon which his his administrations policy trust revolved resulting in the quantum leap and outburst of many completed and ongoing projects in the University.
Among such projects are the four new Faculties and the school of Postgraduate Studies due to take off soon, environmental reforms through tree planting, development of parks and gardens, the light up PLASU project and the window of training and partnerships with local and international organizations towards the growth of the University.
Amongst the organisations with whom the University has forged partnerships is the Switzerland Geneva based Globethics.net which now places Plateau State University Bokkos on the world's ethical platform for the training and development of its staff.
