Governor Simon Bako Lalong of Plateau State today played host to the Governing Council of Plateau State University Bokkos in his official residence where he pledged the unfettered commitment and desire of his administration to the continuous growth and development of the University.
Governor Lalong promised to not only attend to the demands presented to him but to facilitate a grand convocation ceremony early next year during which reward for scholarship will be a major hallmark.
Presenting the catalogue of demands of the University to the Governor, Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of Council Monsignor Professor Obiora Francis Ike appealed for understanding particularly for the take off of the five new faculties of Law, Health Sciences, Education, Environmental services and Agriculture and for the funding of the accreditation of the Programmes and the payment of staff emoluments..
