ADMISSION INTO POSTGRADUATE PROGRAMMES FOR 2023/2024
ACADEMIC SESSION
Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for admission into Doctorate, Master’s Degree and Postgraduate Diploma Programmes of Plateau State University, Bokkos.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
- The admission requirements for the various programmes are as follows:
a. M.Phil./Ph.D. Degree: Candidates for any of the M.Phil./Ph.D. Degree programmes listed above must possess a minimum of 60% or CGPA of 3.50 on a scale of 5 at the Master’s Degree level in a related discipline from a recognised University.
b. Master’s Degree: Candidates must possess the following:
i. Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of second-class Honours (lower division) or
ii. Higher National Diploma and Postgraduate Diploma with a minimum of lower credit.
The above qualifications must be obtained in a related discipline from
any recognised University or Polytechnic.
c. Postgraduate Diploma Programmes: Candidates applying for any Postgraduate Diploma programme listed above must possess a minimum of Third-Class Bachelor’s Degree from any recognised University or Higher National Diploma with a minimum of Lower Credit.
DURATION OF PROGRAMMES
The duration of programmes is as follows:
a. A student for M.Phil./Ph.D. Degree shall pursue the programme for a minimum of 36 months (3year) and a maximum of 60 months (5years).
b. A student for Master’s Degree shall pursue the programme for a minimum of 18 months (1½ years) and a maximum of 24 months (2years).
c. A student for Postgraduate Diploma shall pursue the programme for a minimum of 12months (1 year) and a maximum of 18 months (1 ½ years).
APPLICATION PROCEDURE FOR PGD., M.Sc., & M.Phil./Ph.D. (FULL TIME) FOR 2023/2024 ACADEMIC SESSION:
- Visit the University portal: sis.plasu.edu.ng.
- Select from the menu option “Application forms” and click MASTERS PROGRAMME OR Ph.D. FULL TIME OR POST GRADUATE DIPLOMA, depending on the programme you are applying for
- Fill in the correct information to create your application account.
- Use a Valid/Active email address.
- A Confirmation Link will be sent to your email address.
- Confirm the Link to login and complete the application process.
- Upload of scanned certificates.
- Please Keep your password safe and simple to remember.
REGISTRATION STATUS AND STEPS
- Click the confirmation Link to login and complete the application process
- Click the button “Click to make payment” and an RRR will be generated.
- For those who want to make a card payment through Remita, click the button “Proceed to Payment”. For cash payment, Copy the RRR number and visit the nearest bank to make payment.
- Pay a non-refundable screening fee for PGD N20,000, Masters N25,000 and Ph.D. N30,000
- Update your bio-data and upload your recent passport photograph (max 25kb Jpeg/png format).
- Add O-Level result(s).
- Add Academic History
- Add Awards and Prizes
- Add Thesis Proposal
- Add Publications
- Add Address
- Add Referee/Sponsor
- Upload relevant documents
- Final step: Print Registration Slip
