The University Library

Established in 2005, the University Library of the Plateau State University is located at the main campus of the University.

The Library has a total holding of over 16,000 volumes of books and 283 current periodical titles. The University library has always been at the centre of research and scholarship, playing a major role in the acquisition, processing and the dissemination of library information materials while responding to patrons’ inquires.

We provide outstanding internet connectivity and proficient online access to our e­resources and digital contents through information and communication technology based facilities. Our Clientele have a variety of access routes to conduct efficient research and retrieve relevant information resources. It contains a collection of printed materials, and other e­resources such as e­journals, e­books, electronic theses & dissertations (ETD), technical reports of research organizations, and bibliographic databases.

Vision of the Library

Our vision is that of combining human, information resources and facilities that can nurture a university of the highest international standard, whose all-round standing shall be ranked among the best in Nigeria and the world at large.

Our Mission

The mission of PLASU Library is to support the current and anticipated teaching, learning, and research as well as community service activities of the University through provision of relevant information resources, facilities, services and personnel.
